Manchester United's new goalkeeper Janina Leitzig, who joined from Leicester this summer, is an accomplished gardener who found solace in cultivating vegetables during her three-and-a-half years with the Foxes. The former Germany youth international valued homegrown produce and the outdoor time it provided, particularly when feeling isolated away from family.

Leitzig described gardening as a rewarding pastime that required minimal effort while offering significant mental benefits. She noted that fresh homegrown vegetables taste superior to shop-bought alternatives and appreciated having a garden to decompress after training sessions.

The goalkeeper does not currently have her own garden at Manchester United but remains enthusiastic about the hobby as she settles into her new club during the approaching season.
