First-year Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter performed an impromptu rap to Eminem's "Lose Yourself" during a team outing at training camp. The 43-year-old delivered the performance in front of his players, who cheered him on throughout. The moment showcased Minter's personality as the Ravens prepare for their second preseason game Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings.
Minter took over the Ravens coaching job in January after spending two seasons as the Los Angeles Chargers' defensive coordinator. He previously worked with Baltimore from 2017 through 2020 as a defensive assistant and defensive backs coach. The Ravens defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 24-7 in their preseason opener last Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium.
Minter's coaching career spans nearly two decades, beginning at Notre Dame in 2006. He held defensive coordinator roles at Georgia State from 2013 to 2016, where the program earned its first bowl appearance in 2015. Before joining Baltimore, he coached at Vanderbilt and Michigan, becoming the fourth head coach in Ravens franchise history.
