Aston Villa are accelerating their pursuit of Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki following potential departure plans for Emiliano Martínez. Juventus have renewed their interest in the 33-year-old Argentina keeper, who is open to leaving after six seasons at Villa. The club dismissed Juve's initial offer this summer, but the Italian side has returned with an improved proposal for the player contracted through 2029.
Suzuki emerged as Villa's prime target after PSG withdrew from a deal valued around €35m (£30m) this week. The French club, fresh from beating Villa in the Super Cup in Salzburg on Wednesday, opted against completing the transfer. Juventus are also considering alternatives including Fenerbahce's Ederson and Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario.
In separate transfer activity, Djed Spence completed his move from Tottenham to Inter Milan.
