Karolina Muchova and Jakub Mensik won the 2026 US Open mixed doubles title, giving Muchova her first Grand Slam victory after reaching singles finals at the 2023 French Open and 2026 Wimbledon. Mensik, who defeated Novak Djokovic at the 2025 Miami Open, showcased strong net play and serves despite limited doubles experience. The Czech pair defeated Mirra Andreeva and Andrey Rublev in the semifinals before immediately playing the final.
Muchova and Mensik won shortly before midnight on August 26, concluding nearly five hours of matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli won the first semifinal over Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils. All four finalists are primarily known for singles play, yet delivered competitive tennis with each match decided by a 10-point third-set tiebreak.
Muchova said Mensik suggested they wear matching Adidas outfits the night before their first match on August 25, joking in her victory speech that the coordinated look worked. Neither player had previously won a doubles title.
